How it works

A ninety-second read. You'll be ready to run your first outfit through the app.

01

Capture

Open the app and either snap a live photo with the camera or upload a full-body shot from your library. A mirror photo or flat-lay on a neutral background works when a selfie can't fit the whole outfit.

02

Verdict

We isolate the dominant colors in the shot and tell you whether they harmonize — with a short reason, not just a score.

03

Save

Keep the looks that landed. Your gallery is private and searchable, so you can rebuild an outfit later.

Tips for the best results

Prefer natural light

Stand near a window during the day. Mixed indoor lighting can shift colors.

Frame head-to-toe

Include shoes and any accessories that are part of the outfit.

Plain background

A wall or door beats a busy room — it lets the app read your colors, not the room's.

Get the full look

For a head-to-toe view, stand in front of a mirror or lay the outfit on a neutral surface. A closer selfie works fine for just a top and bottom.

How we decide

ColorMatch Assist looks at the dominant colors in your photo and weighs them against common color-theory principles: matching neutrals, complementary accents, tonal harmony, and warm-cool balance.

The model has learned from a huge range of fashion examples, so its verdict is a trained style opinion — not a physical law. Two stylists, or even two runs of the same outfit, can reasonably disagree.

Think of the verdict as a confident second opinion to start from, not the final word.
